This was done by comparing the current category list to the 22 D.3 projected staffing report.

Are you including the DC-9 and 320 positions lost?

Guys, Its here, there's Nothing thats going to change it. Make the most of it, regardless of the near term changes we're still in a much better position than most of the other carriers.

new,

When you figure out how to add, your mea culpa will be graciously accepted.

I guess you could also say this, ATL as a hub is not losing flying but ATL as a pilot base lost B765 seats but did not gain 330 seats. DTW and MSP did not lose A330 seats to ATL despite the ATL 330 flying. You can call it a job saved for MSP and DTW.

The thing all of the bases need to remember is that you don't want a near 10% of a base, especially the largest, being displaced because that means they're just coming your way and that does not mean they're junior.

Chill dude. You, of all people, knew the possibilities of this job when you took it. You're not furloughed. Try a few years ago going LAX 767 to DFW -88 to MCO 737 within the span of a year, while trying to provide some stability and a home in CA. I thought this job just paid me for flying simulators and listening to groundschool insructors (RIP), but I was happy to still be getting a paycheck.

Let me know how that works out for 'ya.

Bar,

Use the whole quote....

"If you think my FO is keeping me out of the weeds, then when you see me working your commuter flight to DTW, make sure you take the next one."

... the decision is yours. I'm not stoping you from doing anything. You are more than welcome to come and watch me fly whatever aircraft I am flying. See if the FO is keeping me out of the weeds.

If you choose not to and then blame me, when we do the carpet dance in front of the chief pilot, make sure you include that you insinuated that I did not fly a safe airplane. See how that works out for you.

I just got a warning from the moderator for using bad language?
I wrote something like F dash dash dash i n g. I guess they are getting strict!!

iceman49 12-11-2009 09:21 AM

But what about the ANC base? Like Super said...its not going to change until the next AE, and we will be *itching about that. Think there are a lot more changes coming to everyones base as the realignment continues. I think a lot of effort is going into a conjestion reduction in ATL...think better on time departure/arrival and luggage stats.
