Question for anyone interested...any predictions on what happens to 755/7ER category in DTW? Is it going to get bigger/smaller? More senior/junior? What international trips do you expect? Seems to be a bit overmanned right now. I'm coming back to it from mil in Jan, near the bottom and just wondering if I'll still be able to hold it after this bid comes out.

BOB will buy you a beer on all your trips. ;)

Yes he will. Yes he will. :D

I predict it gets more senior. I've already talked to a few ATL 767 and 765 types who are going to commute to DTW.

I think a big surprise to folks will be how senior NYC goes. The 765 there will go very senior, and I expect everyone else in NYC to see some backward movement as ATL pilots displace up there.

Awesome Hawaii! Count me in, but remember we'll have to give up something else to get it.

Just curious. What do you consider senior?

I've run into one or two DTW 755 guys who want to head to ATL, since they live down that a-ways.

Nice to hear that some ATL people might go to DTW if they get displaced - keep some of the pressure off NYC. But I think you're right about NYC 7ER getting more senior - that's what happened on the last two bids that have displaced 767 pilots out of ATL. My MDs are updated - lets see where I end up.

I'm willing to give up anything that doesn't affect me............until it affects me. :)

Lets see how much credit is built into your trips!!! BOB is virtually impossible without weather!!! But I hear ya and yes, it has paid for the beer on occasion.:D

Anyone got intel on the ATL > CVG commute? I know it used to be bad, but mostly that was CVG to ATL and that should have calmed down, if not disappeared after this displacement bid. Any scoop on hotels?

On the 88 in CVG, 75% of the rotations have long Atlanta overnights. Some even begin with an ATL DH leg. Can someone remind me, why are we forcing a bunch of pilots out of Atlanta?

Figure 3 to 4 hotels rooms a month, food and the odd shuttle van are going to cost a commuter about $5,000 a year. Is that in the ball park?

Came to Delta so as to NOT commute, but learning that commuting isn't a choice. I'm new at this.
