KC 10 you have a PM

forgot to bid 12-17-2009 08:53 AM

Isn't there a good possibility that every category in ATL will have MD's? Because that means no AEs into the categories, just VDs and MDs, right?

The reply was about hotel and limo costs, ok so we are taking pilots off line for 4-6 weeks for training, oe etc...disrupting lots of lives to save on hotel and limo costs! Don't think its going to balence out, and if the plan doesn't work...move the aircraft again...think we will see another 2 or 3 ae's this year....done venting. Agreed on the mangement change...think RA is gone in less than 2 years.

Ice,
Point is that I am trying to explain the why, not stating it is a good idea.

My personal .02 is that it is dumb given the fact that the economy has not improved, we are moving jets based on guesses using modeling that has not been accurate over the last two years, (booking window is not six months but more in-line with one to three), our moving package sucks, no one can sell their houses, and this is the start of a long painful process for a few. If this was 2006 and the economy was rolling it would be different, but because our houses are not bought out from underneath us, it makes it really hard to move to where the flying it. (enough on my personal opinions for the day  )

In the end there will be more commuters, and more of us will need to voice our angst over the commuter policy. It is a choice, a choice between trying to keep your financial house of cards from falling, or willfully going in to Ch13

Is it just me, or does it seem like AA is sweating a little over this JAL thing? Maybe myself of the media are biased, but it seems they are coming off more desperate then DAL.

No, not at all. Just assuming that arbitrary displacements make nobody happy.

If this doesn't work they'll move the bids again in a few months. The problem is our contract does not compensate our costs to chase the jobs, or help us get to work in our new domiciles either. It is a concession from status quo.

Not according to some on this board.

I, however, agree with you. ;)

Thanks, that's the point Bar and I have been trying to make.

Why's everyone on R A leaving? Now that we have the merger, can't think of anyone better to actually run it. There are a lot of moving parts and he wrote the assembly manual.

acl65pilot 12-17-2009 09:04 AM

Problem, as I have stated Ab is that there is not a bloodly thing we can do about it.

Half of these movements will be changed on the next bid. I look forward to a few types a long the way ;)
