Holy Moly Ferd,

You just brought up another AE question for me.

If you try to VD to a position with a percentage (like you--50%), but the junior guy in your category (close to the bottom MSP757B) cant hold the position at that percentage, you don't get it, do you?

NewK..........geeze your right, I think. Guess you VD in at 100% and then take the position your seniority can hold. Don't know for sure, and also how senior does SLC88 go and how many of them will go to MSP......this stuff makes my head hurt.

So the question for those who know..........I bid upper 1/3 755B in MSP and want to bid into SLC320B. If I do a VD (to help some junior guy in MSP who may live there) do I bother to put in a percentage or just take what my seniority gives me when I get the award. Also, wouldn't I go to training later than if I would have just AEde into the position?

From the looks and sounds of it, the west is going to go/stay very senior for a long time. I did the math and there are about 2000 west coast post SOC delta guys trying for about 1200 spots. Us junior west coast guys better get used to the 2-hop commute, or update our SWA apps! There is alot of talk about how bad it is going to be in ATL with the new seniority list, but it is looking like it will be just as bad or worse out west, of course, little attention to that in this venue...

Hey NuGuy, I got BidAsstant 3 to load and it does use all the Delta stuff great.

Thanks for turning me on to it, I saw the beta version for it but just thought it was something for old NWA since I hadn't updated in a while.

You da man!

Ferd

PS Hey Southies...........go look at ghale.com It's a great program. For sorting etc it's about like NavTec but the post award products are much better. Plus, it's a onetime charge to buy the program in the stopover store and free upgrades after that. I had version 2 so version 3 was free.
Heyas Ferd,

Check out the SoftMica people also. It's kinda expensive, but they have modded BidBuddy to work with the Delta system AND they say they have a jumpseat booking system in the works

Definately something for both fNWA and fDAL guys to look at.

Ferd,

A VD incurs a 2 yr freeze(but you could still do CA), and you would have to hold it with the jr guys seniority. However, once you're in the category I'm certain your seniority would apply to schedules, vacation, etc so I can't see the need to put in a percentage.

And yes, I think VD's train after AE's. Clear as mud?

That's ok. The brisk breeze woke me up, as I had been sitting around all day playing on APC.

The flight deck was nice and toasty.

Maddog guys,

Do the 88/90's have digital pressurization? All the pics of DAL Maddog flight decks I've seen online show the old analog pressurization control!

Even our DC-9osaurs have digital pressurization. Although I think we have 1 DC9-30 left in the desert that has the old analog still, but it won't be coming back.

400+? How do you figure. With surpluses - vacancies there are 277 seats lost.
