Heyas,

Anyone know if the actual printed contracts ever became available?

PDF is fine if you are doing a quick search, but sometime you needs to really get into a section, and it's a PITA.

Nu,

I picked my hard copy up from the DTW CPO a few months ago.

What's the difference between an Escalade and a golf ball? Tiger can drive a golf ball 300 yards...

Thanks guys, I'll swing by the next time I'm in DTW and see if they have any left. I've been on P1 the last couple of months, and it seems every time I'm in DTW, it's at some ungodly hour.

You going to the 73N?

This bid puts the MD in the MD88.

The 320 is too senior for me. I'd do it if it were in ATL even if on reserve but I'm trying to avoid commuting to reserve. The 73 is high on my list and 320s lower. Really I want to be MD'd into a plane that has training in ATL for no other reason then to prolong my time at home. Then 9s and 320s.

Speaking of bids, wonder how the behind the curtain practice bids are going?

Tiger Woods owns several very expensive automobiles. He finally got a hole in one...

What that section means is you are on an MD now and since it has been less than 180 days since you were converted to DC9 you have reinstatement rights to MEM320B out of seniority. There are vacancies so you get to bid MEM320B ahead of senior pilots trying to AE in it so thats good for you unless of course all of the slots are taken by pilots who are also on a MEM320B MD with you. As to DTW320B and MSP320 and SLC320B require you to put an AE in for it along with Bar. You don't have that reinstatement right to those categories as you are only MD'd out of your one category.

Category is position and base (i.e. 320 B and MEM).

Thats my understanding from section 22.

So if I was MD'd to CVG M88 from ATL M88 and I converted in October 09, I'm eligible because the conversion range of this next AE begins in Jan 10 (within 180 days) and because there is an increase in flying on ATL M88. That I get, but what about all the new displacements from ATL in this bid? Do they get a shot at those new ATL M88 positions before I can be reinstated? I guess the question is which bid is processed first.

Ralphie 12-19-2009 11:27 AM

well I think I found the answer, maybe those of you smarter than me can interpret if for me...

22/13. A pilot who holds an MD may displace a pilot in any category who is junior to him and who was in such category on the award date of his MD.

So if I hold an MD from a previous bid, am I not considered in "such category" on the award date of his MD?
