I am impressed that Delta takes the position they do, officially allowing employee participation and providing guidelines to keep the postings positive and helpful. It is a smart policy, given that there is no way to realistically keep 83,000 employees from every posting about their employer. Better, if the employees cheer and promote Delta, as this thread mostly does.

Hey BB, did something happen that we need to be informed of this policy?

Merry Christmas to all!

Don't think so. It was just on the DAL
ops page.

American's management has been ridiculous on this topic. Glad to see DL's is better.

There was a story in the news a while back about a DAL FA getting fired for some stuff she had posted on a blog...but that was at least a year ago.

Beer,

You are probably aware of this and ignore it if you are but I'll spit it out anyway!:)

If you have a blank regular line for the month and want to pick up trips, the best way to do it is with the "white slip" and/or the pick up option on the swap board. (If guys put in on the swap board to drop a trip but don't list it as a personal drop in dbms.) If you try and greenslip a trip, scheduling is going to give it to a white slipper or a reserve first then maybe someone more senior who has a GS in. With a white slip you are first in line.

There are only a couple of reasons why I would try to GS a trip with a blank regular line. 1) I already picked up enough open time via white slip in the beginning of the PCS runs to get above the GS trigger. 2) If there were a lot of trips over a few days and I KNEW that greenslips were going to be handed out. I would GS over those days and then try to fill up to the GS trigger with a WS in for the rest of the month.

The situation all depends on how much open time there is and when it is. I hope I don't sound like I'm lecturing or anything of the sort, I just don't want you to get hosed.

Merry Christmas to all!

Denny

It's nice that they outlined the company's position on it. For me, I'm going to get dressed up in my uniform each time I post. Hat included!

(Tongue in cheek really, I'm glad the company posted something about it)
