Did an SJO "dinner and a movie" today. 80 degrees for a hour! Oh, the tropical wonder!

Watching 184 passengers get felt up by security people that obviously felt that it was a joke... priceless. Ah... a 90 minute turnaround that we used to be able to do in 50 minutes.

Dinner and a Movie. Is that one of those Fly down then DH back trips? Let me check my iPhone app to see where SJO is.....

....aaaahh. Costa Rica. Yes. :)

Nite 80.

So has anyone else received a phone call telling you that you received an AE award in error? No, I'm not joking.

Really? That would suck for those folks who want to move somewhere. Did you get this call or did someone you know get this call?

Can somebody comment on how much premiums for health care costs you each pay check at Delta. I am looking for the family rate. Thanks

That is a question with no answer. There are so many different plan options to pick from. When you make your elections for 2010 it clearly lays out what each selection will cost.

Well, I don't really want to comment until I know for sure what's going to happen. But, if one person received an AE in error, and others more junior were awarded the same category, then that tells me there's a problem with this AE.

I was just curious if anyone whose been with the company longer than me have ever heard of such things happening?

There are errors made on virtually every AE. Its a very complicated process with multiple sometimes hundreds of loop backs. Parts are done by hand. Normally they correct any errors quickly. Normally they do not cancel a bid if they have to award a AE to someone else because they made a error. They simply carry the overage. If a additional AE pushes you below a qualifier you can call them and stay in your current category.

Even the MESA guys don't have to log their own landings.

The majority of pilots don't fly the scheduled DH flight to training. Most take advantage of the Positive space from where they live and many drive to training if they live in the SE.
As far as logging landings it takes me about 15 seconds after I sign in to log landings for the last trip. Takes longer to put it in the ACARS on the aircraft when I worked under that system.
