Our instructors already did fly the line.

From what I can gather, it is going to be a total swap. I may wrong but that is the impression I got.

No these words are being spoken by the leaders on the joint base visits.

By total swap you mean that the entire 90 operation will move with a commensurate number of 320s moved to SLC......no?

I agree, and I think that what the group wants is important. Keep the ideas coming. I know of at least one or two more that will submit early next week.

I have always been able to deviate as I wanted. I just ask real nice and all. :D

Oh you can deviate, but at the beginning of a rotation, it's on you (no PS). Also, when you deviate to a layover for instance, you don't get paid perdiem until 1hr prior (1 1/2 intl) to your first flight. It usually ends up being like $50 or so. We do a lot of LAX-SLC to a layover for instance.

ACL, Are you running for Lec Rep? I've been away from the boards for a while and didn't know if I missed the announcement. I'll need your name!! You got my vote. In fact..if you aren't on the ballot, I'm just gonna write in ACL65..Will that work?;)

ACL,

Maybe I am misunderstanding you, but not a TOTAL swap. The rumors I have heard were that a portion of the 320's would be going to SLC and ALL of the -90's would be going to MSP.

That makes sense. There are almost 700 A-320 pilots in MSP, while it looks like there are barely 200 -90 drivers in SLC.

Please don't upset the Minnesotans at this time. They are just beginging to brace for winter.. It starts in a few days. :)

So say Delta files ch11 again, all Delta has to do is demonstrate to the judge that Republic flies 100-seat jets for a given (lower) pay scale, and show that if Delta pilots are lowered to Republic pay, or some Connection carrier takes the planes, Delta can emerge from BK successfully. If the judge is convinced, bye bye scope.

This is what Delta did to Comair's ALPA pilots in 2006- they presented the other DCI carriers lower payscales and testified that Comair could win more Delta flying if the judge threw out our payscale and workrules. The judge found the testimony "compelling" and ruled with Delta.

As Delta and ALPA have already fought this battle and Delta won, would the only solution be to stay out of bankruptcy?

Could the DALPA members on the BOD prevent Delta from 1113c'ing the Delta pilot group?

No they couldn't. There are things that can be done, which I would never advocate, but are still there if you need them. As for the 100 seater, the company knows where that aircraft rests. Our current reps have left no misconception that a 100 seat aircraft. I have gotten that all the way to the top of the administration. Where we have a few longer discussions is who sits in the front of aircraft which have less than 100 seats.

That is what I was led to believe. Now, as you know 757, that can and does change day to day.

They need to be careful not to shift too much. If they do they will have no feed to those international flights.

They can feed it with mainline ;)

Well no kidding. The way the question was asked was in reference to the amount of 90 positions leaving SLC. My response was that I was under the impression it was all of them.
