Maybe we've spent too much time on L&G:confused:

MY LIVING WILL

Last night, my kids and I were sitting in the living room and I said to them,
'I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and
fluids from a bottle. If that ever happens, just pull the plug.'

They got up, unplugged the Computer, and threw out my beer.

They're such *********s ...

One more thing please..I finished training on the 9th and had 7 days off prior to OE. Finished OE but my schedule has me projected at 64 hours for the month. 14:24 for training days 1-6, 24:56 for oe, and 25:40 for reserve days. I dont think it shows me getting paid for NOE days 7-13. Arent we considered to be in training until oe is done? Also isnt the minimum for a reserve month 70 hours? Sorry if these are simple questions but training scheduling and crew sched didnt know why projected credit is 64 hours however they both "think" that when pay day rolls around next month I'll get 70 hours.

Thanks

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Airline stocks were mostly on the rise Tuesday, playing off data showing a resumption of international passenger growth as well as crude-oil futures falling below $78 a barrel.

In the energy pits, crude for February delivery at one point dropped below $77 a barrel before climbing back to a narrower loss.

Earlier Tuesday, the International Air Transport Association said economy travel returned to growth in November, pulling up total international passenger numbers into growth territory for the first time since late in 2008.

Premium-class ticketing, however, remains stunted, with first- or business-class sales down 6.7% from November 2008. That should continue to pressure total yields, or average ticket prices.

"There has been a rise in premium travel in recent months, which is now around 5% higher than its May low point, but much of the upturn took place mid-year, since then there has been little further progress once seasonal fluctuations are taken into account," the trade group said in a release. "Premium travel numbers are still over 20% lower than early 2008 levels."

That's going to be a 3 point deduction for utilizing the word "tarmac."

Exactly. Filing claims like this doesn't exactly help matters. The irony comes from the fact that the claim states that the 777 is replacing 742 flying.

When was the last time you saw a 742 in DTW on a regular basis? Not to mention flying the point to point legs they are doing.

That's not the one going to arbitration. The 742 one is being "studied". The DRC has no control over who files what.

Increased Baggage Fees

Richard was asked in his "chat" about the baggage fees if they were appropiate. His response was essentially that we are charging increase fees because we can.

Stupid question, does having to gate check 20+ bags per flight really help the operation? Do you think it will impact future bookings / loyalty?

I personally think DAL made a big error when we decided to charge for bags and aligned ourselves with NWA (not knocking NWA ... just saying).

I see the profit potential in charging for bags, but I think the 2nd increase is not good for our passengers.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

There is a great program called EzOpen Board, written and operated by a northie. Wonderful program and all of us up north are going through serious withdrawal.

The guy who operates it is working with the company for access, we're all pulling for him.

You can get a free look at what can be at:

https://www.ezopenboard.com/

I'm currently using the free version for all the other stuff it does (my subscription has run out and Steve says not to renew till he gets it back up and running).

Ferd

PS opps, just saw your avaitar....you probably already know about this. Sorry
