As NewK and I will attest to.........what is really sad it this just give us ammunition for late night rants between points A and B. Our poor post merger newhire FOs are just going to roll their eyes and quietly beg for it to stop.

If one of the new guys asks me about the merger, I will give my Merger Convention response: Name, Date of Hire, Seniority Number. |

Well, when it give the company 130 million plus a year in revenue, yes it is a good business decision. They are even talking about charging ppl at the gate with those hand held FOB's. Not DAL per se but airlines in general.
Get off of price line and do it the way WN does and maybe you can play that game. You get one "certified" bag on the aircraft for free. Only certified bags or smaller can be carried onboard. Everything else is checked. Additional bags or oversized bags have a fee and get checked. Simple? |

I would rather the domestic airlines come to an agreement on a bag specification (something like UL certifications for light bulbs). Make a standard height, length, and width.

Simple? That's actually an excellent idea. The interesting thing is that I remember RA specifically saying that A14 is going to be the focus.... not D0. However, we're typically pretty tightly blocked anyways, and planes sitting in the gate with gate checked bags filled with bowling balls, grandmothers, and small horses trying to be loaded doesn't help A14 very much. |

Yep, I can honestly say I haven't flown with anybody that I wouldn't want to fly with again. A few, here and there, that I won't be champing on the bit to see again but, all in all, great guys.
