News this good has not been hear around Detroit in a while. Figure about $15 million dollars in new jobs just came to town. For Atlanta about $45 million in jobs is leaving town. Garrison Keilor must be excited about $25 million coming to town. I guess Delta is keeping it's promises to the politicians. Somehow it seems I recall they promised no loss of jobs in Atlanta either. Have to take a look see through the archives. |

Don't forget you are just looking at the pilot jobs. Don't forget about all of the headquarters, support, SOC, and other non-flying jobs that "moved" or were eliminated from MSP through consolidation. I know quite a few people that are unemployed now due to consolidation. Windfall...not so much.

DALN guys, Willy's is a Mexican burrito place down the road, very crowded from 11-1230, but worth it. Not open on weekends. The Greek Gyro place is really good and also crowded- just don't plan on talking face to face with anyone, use some discretion. Just know from 1130-1pm all of the restaurants on VA avenue are packed. Never been to Malone's, any oppinion? |
