That is the problem when professionals do it their job safely time after time. It becomes routine. What people need to remember is that "qualified" professionals make their job look routine and on some level easy. Many could say that Neil Peart makes percussion look like an everyman's profession, but its not......

I bet the folks on Sully's plane are happy that he's paid not one dime less than he's paid. The problem is that most pax are stuck in the 60's mindset that we're all overpaid and underworked. When I tell my neighbors what I'm making these days, they can't believe it. They all think I'm Leonardo Decaprio in Catch Me If You Can.

Some good music yes, drummers of that caliber, not so much. Nobody hits the skins like Neil.

Hey Ferd, I think we're about the same year group. Used to have an 8 track in my Pontiac LeMans which I would blast (with bands like Rush). Oh those were the old school days. Hell, I thought the cassette tape was a great invention.:eek:

Does this date me? I've never operated an 8-track or seen an operating one.
