If the NWA pilots are going to continue with that grievance then it stands to reason that the same thing applies to the 747 in NYC which will be flying Delta routes. It should not under that logic be a fenced aircraft. The bid should be a open bid.

As a fnwa guy, how much clearer could it be that all 747 and 777's are fenced for 5 years?

Will we grieve next that the sky isn't blue? Talk about a waste of an arbitrators time.

All I have to say is:

Super premium widebody!

This is true. Why then would the MEC not allow North grievances to just go thru and just be done? I have no dog in this fight, but seeing the way KW went down is very disappointing and causes one to lose a great deal of trust. It will have a lasting impact.

That would be fine in my book too!:)

Gnewt,

I don't know if DN guys have gotten it yet but the DS guys should have by now. The DS 401k and DC plans convert over to the new funds about a month before DN.

The reps aren't stupid. They've avoided this for a good reason. It is a lose - lose situation for them. The grievances were filed out of emotion, not fact. The negotiators - all of them - set the record straight a year ago. Call your reps and ask. If KW thought he had the support of the reps, he'd still be there.

The easiest thing to do is convince an airline pilot he's getting screwed. A few people with bruised egos are taking advantage of that weakness and perpetuating the myth that these dumb grievances have merit. Has anybody posted the contract passages that were allegedly violated?

Thanks Denny,

The N vs S distinction was pretty subtle in the latest Code-a-phone.

Johnso, that LOA was agreed to by the MEC. Those jets are flying around because we (the MEC) agreed to it. We got our interpretation to the language agreed to.
**lesson is to make sure that we have copious notes on this sort of thing (intentions) from the negotiators in the next section six cycle.

I understand that. My point is that the company has & will continue to blatantly violate the PWA, & wait to be called out on it. Some here act as if it doesn't happen, when the opposite is true. It happens all the time.

It can be thrown away by agreement of one third of the MEC in subcommittee.

That's why it is sometimes interesting to see the makeup of each subcommittee.
