....on brighter note..... going to recurrent and leaving your flight kit at home is awesome!!! I just took my passport and my headset. The company supplied brainbag worked just fine. Captains may want to bring their tabbed book to find Cat II/III stuff instead of fumbling around in the sim.
Alpa safety meeting had RA and LM. Same stuff that was said at the LCA meeting was repeated at this meeting. Parking rj's, flying all our stuff from the desert, ect.... |
Alfa,
I agree with most of your logic. How do we go about extracting the max of the finite pie? Does mgmt tell our NC the most they can do (ie 0 cost) or do we do what APA has done and list our demands? Just curious how we avoid leaving pie on the table? I agree that we need to set realistic goals for improvement, so how do we decide what is realistic? How long before Section 6 opens will the NC begin soliciting input and what is the process? Thanks PS - Put me down for the private jet for my commute:) |

Hopfully the CatII/III will be relocated to the aircraft shortly.:) Why are we taking our passports to training? Shouldn't DBMS notify you on the currency. |

Em the facts. Sometimes facts suck
That said, depending on where we think the high point is in the pot of money, maybe we should look at a 36 month amendable date. If that does not work, how about at a min a cola or a set percentage after the PWA becomes amendable. |

If our negotiating committee shares your perspective, I doubt you will ever see anything like the buying power you had with C2K. Are you prepared to resign yourself to this profession being worth considerably less than it has traditionally been worth? Kinda sounds like it. If not, then how do you think we are ever going to get there? The simple math is that it's going to take 73%+.

It's obvious the current crew can't get it done. That's why I'm focusing all my energy on getting you and capn crunch into those positions. You guys have got it all figured out!

They want your license, medical, passport, shot records and distance learning completion notice. This is the company's time to officially check to see that you are who you say you are. For me they take it one step further. Being a foreign bast$%d I have to get a background check for every training event. 121 pilots were exempt until Homeland Security started searching for more ways to make money. Now I pay to go to the sim. Is that sadomasochistic?? Kinda crazy eh...I pay for the pleasure to get beat up in a sim.:D:D |

No offense, but that analysis seems a bit superficial to me. What is your objective? Is it restoration or something less than restoration? Could you elaborate a little more as to why you think the current crew can't get it done and that Cap'n Crunch and I have it all figured out?
Any one who can guarantee me 73% by doing nothing more than demanding it, is the guy I want in the job! I could use the money. |
