Anyone want to comment on the wider implications of the China Eastern deal for growth in Asia? What will this mean for the average line puke?
Also any more word on LGA? |
They stated about two weeks for the final ruling on LGA, and who knows with China Eastern but they did call it a hub for Delta.....

Ok. When AK comes up and says that their pilots should be merged into our 7er category, because after all their 737-800's hold as much as our 757-200's*, and our MEC calls our 767 and er flying incomparable because it's abra cadabra hocus focus flying, I will:
1.) Know what they mean 2.) Say "Yeah. Abra cadabra hocus focus flying!" 3.) Realize that they are just trying to do their job. & 4.) Not be embarrassed because (See point #1) But that's just me..... New K Now * Just an example. I don't know how man pax AK 737-800's hold. 12 - according to travelnet. 4 in the front and 8 in the back. They must have some serious seat pitch! :) Scoop |
What's the deal with assigning all AM short calls? They screwed themselves today. A first officer called in sick today for a late report, and they have no reserves to cover the trip. This is due to every single short-call reserve having a start time of 9am or earlier. No one's willing to green slip it so they're trying to IA it to no avail. A full flight to the west coast is going to cancel tonight due to scheduling's idiotic idea of having no PM short-calls. Right now the flight's showing a hour and a half delay, but the trip's still in open time. If anyone else wants to watch it while drinking beer and watching the hockey games, it's DTW320B. The flight is in two different rotations. I guess they're trying two different trips to try and get one flight covered.

As I've said before, SC needs to be a higher-paying option that we bid for, and that's assigned, in seniority order, automatically and without scheduler input. Make better availability financially rewarding, and set up "shifts" to cover regular flying. Almost like rotations we can bid for in PBS. |

There is. You can not input in your info in the VRU and itll give you an option for the jumpseat desk (for offline guys). I think it's also the same person that is the sign-in desk.
Like our manuals, one subject one place, right? |
