A merger may have saved your meager seniority. Where would either airline have been without the synergies of the merger? Why was Delta the only legacy that didn't furlough?

In this case I think you are correct, without the merger I would be out on the street. Even though I was hired before the merger was announced, I knew it was coming and I accepted the fact that I would just be on the bottom of bigger list. I still think I am in the best spot in the industry. True, a merger with AS isn't going to harm me that much, that don't mean I have to like it! :)

As RA said at the LCA meeting last week we have "a close, very very close" relationship with Alaska. Qoute may not be exact but you get his drift.

Oh I know its coming, my concern is what will our position be with regard to SLI. I will reserve my opinion until it is announced.
