Thanks guys. Interesting (to me at least).

It works pretty well unless all your matching/contributions are put into company stock (preferred or otherwise) which you cannot sell and then your company goes............well we all know the drill.:rolleyes::mad:

Agreed. I know many that no matter what their stuff was doing on the DC and DAL side of the house always maxed out their 401K. Many of them are senior WB A's right now relishing the fact that they have a retirement to count on.

Acl thanks for the explanation. I just wanted to clarify, I can not pick up a trip on my days off if the trip is advertised for pick up and it is not on open board it is only on swap board? So the swap board is only available for regular pilots and not reserves?

Correct. It has to do with the fact that you are there to deal with sickouts, not give guys who want off a trip pickup. That is why it is designed that way. That trip is assigned to a line holder and unless the PD/APD it, sick out of it, they will need to fly it if another line holder does not pick it up.

So it says. Time to start flying a line. Way to much time on my hands sitting reserve. I will try to bid the 330 if it comes to atl on this bid though.

It is all the extra time I have on my hands because I do not commute! :D

With the trend of ER pilots (especially in the hubs) having to fly domestic time I bet it pushes the 330 and 765 even that much more senior.

Always worth a shot though! =)

acl65pilot 04-16-2010 06:50 AM

Agreed. But if you do not bid it, you cannot get it.

Should we start worrying about the volcano and what it might do to our bottom line and hence our bottom of the list?

Bluto 04-16-2010 07:06 AM

Well, if you think worrying about it will help...I'm in.
