Sure Buzz, spoken like you just received word that you get to capitalize on retirements from both pre-merger airlines. I am sorry, but the Kumbya let's make the Greatest Airline (airline with a post-BK contract, parking planes left and right, code sharing where we cant park planes) go forward with our new list may not fly so well with the 2000 hire dealing with some kid who was in high-school when he was flying the right seat of a bus making six figures. Freaking please dude, even the fDAL Captain I flew with said the list was freakin BS past 2000 hires... Buzz, I guess I am not happy with the median age (52) of my airline dropping by about 7 years and realizing zero gain from it. Did you work in Centerport before Delta?
Whine all you want, but we could have it a lot worse. |

It looks to be very accurate......
For me it is flat and then about 2022 or so I go from a mid level FO to a senior ca in five years, just crazy..... |

Just move the retirement age down to 60 and dream/hope everyone retires at 60. I think someone posted that they are actually going at 62.5. If that's the case, it looks like it's about 4-5 years before the earth shattering, "I can move up to the next bigger airplane," movement begins. New K |

New K We're currently at 2.5 years since the change so we should continue to see a steady number of retirements from this point forward. We'll see |

Perhaps you'd prefer a job at Usair, or maybe UAL? Maybe you'd like to be like the NWA pilots that left in 2007 for UPS & will now be furloughed? Or perhaps you'd be better at ATA, or TWA?
Whine all you want, but we could have it a lot worse. "The SLI is OVAAAA!!!" Let's move on. Dang. I forgot about those guys who left for UPS? One was a MEM rep. They are about to get furloughed? |
