Airline Pilot Central Forums - Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

George, Difference of opinions. I think you would be giving a windfall to 20% of our pilots. We have only so big a pie. I believe in improving pay for all pilots equally. Improve pay for reserves, I can go for that but not a 7% pay raise that only goes to 20% of the pilots. As stated before a sliding scale 5 hrs below the alv (not less than 70) would give most everybody on reserve a pay raise right now and be restoration of what we once had. We all want the same thing, just how do we allot it.

I bid reserve and I agree. The sliding window is the best way to go. 75 is great, but I rather see it in an across the board bump.

Yes, a little fire for effect. I guess that's OK only if you are the originator. Given the indivdual in question was as toxic to one pre-merger group as our former MEC Chair was to the other I don't see the extreme metaphors as that inappropriate.

A lot of us are trying to act and work as we are all part of one Delta pilot group - you use the terms "North" and "South" to divide and as a battle cry.

Part of the frustration that the Watts and C54 letter were symptomatic of (there was enough truth wrapped in the BS to resonate widely) was crystallized in your post.

We are all Delta pilots is just a slogan to you so long as you continue to call the shots. There are very few DTW, MSP, MEM, and SEA Delta pilots who don't see through the rhetoric.

Johnso29, definitely put in the GS and say you need notice of 12 hrs if that's the min time you need. When there are a lot of GS's, they know well in advance. If you are willing to do it, it never hurts to try.

I'm sure it is back a few 100 pages...but what is the de-coder ring on the training schdeule for up north when look on-line....i.e. see - 3222 -or- 32G2...what does it mean? Is there a place to look on the schedule?

No offense to the passionate unionists here, but the reason I don't go to the DALPA forum anymore is because there are certain individuals who post this crap there. Now it's over here. Are you the same guys? I'd sure hate to have to go find another place because the toxic crap from DALPA leaked over here.:(

I can not speak for him, but I have meet many many North guys that I would LOVE to share a cockpit with. We are very similar.

I also know that not ALL of the North reps are trying to stir the pot, just for the sake of it. They are bringing issues up that need to be brought up! . There are a few that I am very impressed with.

This North-South stuff makes me want to quote Lincoln or watch North and South! :D
