She had me when I saw her in Pushing Tin and if you have ever seen the movie Wanted, she gets out of the jacuzzi and walks away from the camera naked. All the tattoos are in view. I love the way those legs make an ### of themselves!!!

Despite the "gains" that the pay raised Delta pilots have, AMR folks still make more $$$ than we do. This despite the Delta pilots being a huge part of why this merger has been done so smoothly.

I have no problems with us hooking up with JAL, just pointing out that I don't think our pay is out of line with the industry at all.

About 50 90seat RJs worth. 3 month, 6 month and 1 year terms for the pilot who go there. This came from the presidents mouth at ASA. Pretty crazy!!!!

Just goes to show you that there is NO DCI flying avail for them here. I have not talked to one ASA Bubba that is going to even think about taking that.

I don't think enough block hours remain to pull it off without some new aircraft leases, but there are more versed men here than I. I would hope that LEE and the MEC will be adamantly against a merger with a smaller (nearly half the size of American Eagle), narrow body carrier with our current staffing. 1,500 numbers worth of expansion would be a nice NWA/DAL merger bonus for everyone.

My best wishes to AA and the fTWA crowd that's been punished for nearly a decade; this one will be a slaughter for someone.

Question, is it cheaper to merge with AS then to order/get back the 737s we had coming? Because while AS is entrenched in Alaska itself, I'd like to think we have the fortitude to expand out of 2 existing bases on the west coast (SEA/LAX and like you siad add SFO) and be fine and thus don't need to buy their west coast operation + Alaska.

Especially with JAL and possibly GUM being discussed, why add Alaska?

Sincerely,
Merger Ping Pong Ball

I think I heard that the ASA chief pilot was saying it... and I never worked at ASA but somehow heard that.

FWIW, doesn't Cape Air fly ATRs out of Guam for Continental?

Are those Cheerios? I thought it was a defective bowl of Alpha Bits with nothing but 'O's ...

But they are making my cholesterol lower! And I'm cheery! So what's not to like?

With regards to the ASA birds...heard it was a deal for just the airplanes...just a dry lease.

Agreed, and yes, that makes sense.

I think you will agree that whether we finalize JAL or AMR does, you guys are the next target for AMR, DAL or LUV. It just makes too much sense.

I agree that you have a great little niche and most I know that fly there are totally content with it. I would prefer to see us just buy jets and compete on the west coast, but that does not appear to be the plan. Our company does not want to dilute the market.

In the end I beleive that whether we or one of the other two guys goes after AS, there will be more competition on said routes regardless of what happens.

True. Agreed. Add CON to list.

Not worried about competition. It's healthy and good for business. What isn't is unsustainable, cutthroat competition like what we're experiencing now with Virgin and JBLU several years ago.

Nu, it was just plain hilarious. I guess I did not see that one coming!
