Sounds like one of these guys that still uses his callsign from his military days.
Some guys just can't let go of their glory days.

Don't talk about some of CP's and management like that! :D

Shall we assume by your picture acl, that the alaska rumor is still alive and well?

I'm with you, Clamp. Maybe a talk with a Pro Stans guy will keep him out of the Chief Pilot's office down the road. This kind of stuff is an embarrassment to all of us. It's Carl's call, though.

Call Pro Stans. They have plenty of ppl they have on speed dial that they call all of the time. It may do nothing and it may stop it, but a call is worth it none-the-less.

Um :D

I could also put a bunch of guys in blue suit and red ties there.

A 195 or another 100 set jet

a nice big widebody white tailed jet

NRT and a new route map

A city in North-Central Texas

An island in the south Pacific

Our new route map

and a few other items..... :D

Exactly: it's Carl's call. Carl and this guy's F/O. Carl chose to post it on APC, so I suppose he already decided not to call Pro-Standards.

Some things rise to the point of requiring calls to Pro Standards, or even the Company. These are handled privately, out of respect for everyone involved, with the pilot being identified so that he may be counseled. Some things merely make for good conversation. You handle those in public, over a beer, or over the internet, without identifying the individual. He'll figure out he's a douche-bag in due time, when someone tells him the story over a beer.

So maybe you gentlemen of the jury simply enjoy the humor in the story, and reserve further judgment for the people that actually were involved. If you witness something that you think diserves a phone call, then by all means you go for the phone, and not the keyboard.

ACL

Did you leave the BOS base off the list on purpose or does it fall under the "few other items" list?

acl65pilot 01-03-2010 04:28 PM

It falls under a maybe. I have heard it, but not a lot. Makes sense, but then they are committed to one type for international.

acl65pilot 01-03-2010 04:31 PM

Sink,
Or better yet, man up and tell them to their face.

Welcome back ACL.

So what route map might you be referring to?

Exhibit A (said picture seems centered around a south Pacific island)

Exhibit B

Exhibit C (albeit from 1999)

I apologize for the Captain print on the size of those pictures.
