Sink,
Or better yet, man up and tell them to their face.

Sure: if you're concerned about them, you think their action/attitude may pose a serious issue, and you're going to refer them to Pro Standards, you certainly ought to chat with them.

If you just think they're stupid, but not dangerous, I don't see the point of one Captain going to another to offer dual instruction on-the-spot.

I've seen it done before, and it was rather ...ironic.

A jumpseater, whom I had flown with earlier (hint: train wistles at push-back with "all-aboard" announcement, and guitar concerts in cruise:rolleyes:), was deplaning. As he deplanes, he has a "picket-to-tittsburgh" moment. When he really should have said "thank you for the ride", he instead told my Captain that "his uniform was not regulation".

As luck would have it, this CRM genius wasn't simply rude, he was also absolutely wrong: my Captain's uniform was 100% legit. What made it more amusing still: my guy was a bonified troop leader, one that would have every merit badge, if only Delta awarded them. I thought he might have a coronary event, but to his credit he simply glanced up, nonplussed, and suggested a little FOM refresher to our Jetway CFI.

LOL, you are so right, flowers blooming again in MSP?! Never.

Anyone notice that in the route guide in the back of SKY they are showing Int'l flights out of IAH and DFW? I am guessing AF or KLM is starting up their service they dropped after 9-11 in to DFW.

Anyone see the slides that were blown on A Concourse today?

Guess some pax smelled smoke on pushback and popped both overwing exits. Yes, ppl went down the fun slide.

Well as you know, they have already commented on a May/June AE. So I guess that is when they will be blooming in MSP

There will be a shortage of big body bubbas. From what I have been hearing we will be upticking International a little bid more. Part of the reason they kept 30 or so in each seat on the ER in NYC.

So might people never actually get MD'd off a widebody category? Could they make widebody training slots go later in the year, especially on the more senior MD'd pilots? That way if they need them then they never lost a dime on them going to another plane but if they infact do not need them then they eventually go on to training.

FtB I love that GUM Route Map.

Should be interesting if JAL dumps their international. Timing is interesting.....

When I found that map it was the first time I've ever bothered to look to see what Guam flying actually involves. Notice that island hopping going east from Guam?

Well as to the Alaska rumor, I would be torn between strengthening the company and seeing another 1500 pilots slide in on top of me. Especially when those guys were flying for an airline that did zero international flying.

I fought hard to get here to fly some international..........
