But, reading this made me wonder............Jal is in the other terminal in NRT. NRT is a HUDGE airport, moving people back and forth with our new partners will be a new logistical puzzle. A terminal swap with UAUA?

The devil is in the details. And the next detail is another cup of coffee

Ferd,

United is sharing that terminal with the other Star Allance carriers (including ANA and CO). Not likely to happen.

More likely is DAL going to the JAL terminal, but that will mean a long taxi.

Quick question.

How does Delta pay Per Diem for training? Is it automatically done or is there an expense report/form of some sort? If so, can someone direct me how to locate the form?

Northwest we had to submit a form for Per Diem.

Thank you.

Been there done that. The 757 has been using the "B" runway for years. Some nights, taxi time was 35-45 minutes.

But you're right, the expansion has mostly been for the UAUA/ANA jets.

Go to the expenses tab in DBMS. I believe training is one of the sub menu tabs.

It said it would retire all 37 of its Boeing 747-400 planes and all 16 of its McDonnell Douglas MD-90 aircraft. At the same time JAL will introduce 50 small and regional jets.

any word on us gettin some -400s?

Ferd149 01-19-2010 08:28 AM

seems to fit the new -400 sim rumor

But, we passed on some UA -400s that went to the desert years ago because they didn't have galleys where we wanted them (FA rumor, take that for what it's worth). So, who knows. In the current environment I'd think we would want 777s.

What a surprise.....
The lease back jets that we bought to lease to JAL are forfeited, and therefore become ours. Bodes well for DFW.
Wonder if we will give them some RJ's.

I wonder what routes they will abandon?.....

I am not sure what has all the DFW rumors stirred up but as of today there are no plans at all for any expansion in DFW. There are no plans for any type of pilot base however a flight attendant AFP base has been considered several times and I am sure will be looked at again.
Richard Anderson was asked the question about DFW becoming a focus for Delta again. He replied "No, Never"

Wouldn't that throw a monkey wretch in the SLI arbitration issue. The old saying of "be careful what you wish for" just might have a new meaning to these folks.

Not trying to change the subject, I just couldn't resist.
