You don't have to cross control on the bus, its all about zero roll-rate, it can be a little interesting until you get used to it.

Does the 320 trim out the cross control you're using in a landing? Is that the issue?

FTB,

The issue is that until the wheels touch the ground you're in normal law. What that means is there is no direct correlation between the position of the sidestick & control surfaces. So when you deflect the stick you're commanding a roll rate rather then a bank angle. The UA 320 probably just got behind because it's really not an issue until flare(in a x-wind situation) When landing the Airbus in a x-wind you must wait until roughly 30 ft to kick out the crab, otherwise when you attempt to cross control you'll run out of aileron before you touch down. It's wierd, but it works. ;)

Well I believe we charter the Saints & the Colts, so either way it's DAL. :)

Cool. I like kicking the crab out late just like on the ERJs, but I've found the 88 doesn't like it. So you kick it out a little earlier.
