Ahhhh being junior!
This is why we need multiple PCS runs instead of just three. If we had them every hour, you would see more open time churn and have a much better opportunity to improve your life even if your junior.

I personally think we should go to a system that has a couple of "open time windows" right after the bid awards are out that honor seniority. After those windows are gone, open time pickup/swaps should be on a first come first serve basis with no PCS runs. If you see a trip you like and your the first one to hit "submit" it's yours. The line improvement process here at DAL needs alot of work.

Wow, you are right. At the end his drums go up in flames, Neil could never do that.

That is funny. Hopefully it was not "Can't Fight This Feeling" that you had to endure.

Rocky;
The senior guy that is on a trip or otherwise unavailable has an issue with instantaneous open time or more runs. Running it three times a day allows guys time to look at it and put their requests in. It allows their seniority to have a little more control.
I like the way you think, but many of the guys that I fly with like it the way it is. You could put standing swap qualifiers in but most guys fear change.
It is doable as it is just a computer, but guys like you and I could then cherry pick that time, and the senior guys would have a harder time to nail down what they want. A few wrong swaps etc would cause a major uproar.

Neil Pert hands down.
Neil is certainly one of the great drummers! It really depends on individual preferences (style of music preferred, etc.) as to who would be considered "the best that ever played". As a drummer myself for 35 years, my vote is for this guy:

I wouldn't mind it if it was run several times a day. I live at icrew. BUT, I understand if they don't change it.

I'm still trying to figure out how to get rid of a preference qualifer that pops up on all of my white slips. For some reason it saved my "Overnight must be in GUA or BOG" from my ER days and puts it on every white slip. So I have to erase it everytime but if I forget then I never get a white slip because the 88, believe it or not, doesn't do ATL-BOG.

Oops. Figured it out. Standing Request Qualifiers. Awesome. That only took a year.

That is random.....

Go to your standing qualifiers. It is the bottom selection on the PCS screen if memory serves me correctly.

Now why did you want to go there on the ER? Does your wife know why?

HA!

No I just wanted a landing. I was a sad case on the ER (pre domestic flying). I just wanted to land. I was all over west Europe and Latin American 2 man crews flying on the ER. They gave me the 88. I land a lot now.

I did get to do one domestic trip, ATL-SFO on an ER right before I got off the plane. I really loved that plane and while I felt competent flying it I was hanging on the tail that day because A) the paperwork was small and seemed lacking stuff, b) I didn't draw on a map, c) I was on concourse A, d) it took off in half the runway, e) the FMS only took a second to load and I didn't do a selcall check, and f) we went west. I was smiling ear to ear though.

What does it take to impress you if $2 billion in industry unique returns doesn't? I haven't even gone into the value of the ALPA claim from the DAL bankruptcy (14% of the company) that was presold at a far higher average price than the average creditor....

The common theme in all those transactions was Athena. If that's ALPA cronyism, I'll take those results any day!

That was the one of only two good things in the CAL contract. I missed getting texts to improve my line at 2AM in the crashpad. Works great.
