Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Oh yes! As always, you're spot on, DENNYCRANE... Personally I use the practice of never answering the phone unless I want to talk to them.
I typically confuse them by answering the phone "Emergency Pilot Staffing Desk" or something like that. Gotten a few "oh um... shoot, I meant to dial..."
It's quite funny.

Why did the ALV's go down for April?
Let me remind everyone, if you want to GS in the summer (especially you international folks who commute) wheel and deal on the same day trips. They in a pinch will positive space you to help you get to work if youre their best option. However, that is not a paid DH, just a free ride.

We stay at the RIU. I wish I could tell you how nice it was on my last trip, but as we were flying to MEM we got an ACARS telling us we'd been rerouted MEM-LAX instead of MEM-MBJ. The first month I bid a line in years, and this happens. We couldn't believe it. The trip ended up being worth 1.5 hrs. more and we got home 3 hrs. earlier, so there was a silver lining.
Yes, they do both. Since I live in DTW, the (800) number is the automated system, and the (404) number is a scheduler. I made the mistake of answering the phone when I had a greenslip in, but the trip didn't meet my criteria for the GS, so it was given to me as an IA.

I don't know for sure but it probably has to do with your category meeting the TLV (targeted line value) for the year. Each category, for the year, has to average somewhere between 74 and 79 hours a year. Either that or there is just less flying in your category!

I love what that suit does for my package.
