VIKZ,
Quit rocking the boat. I'm not sure who you are but I also will most likely be in the 2nd flow class to DAL and also work within the CPZ union. No one wants to be held back, but your most likely raising issues that may or may not become reality. Lets not put the cart before the horse.

As of last week, the low spots that new hires/recalls would get are.. Airbus MSP and DTW, Maybe 88 NYC, and maybe 88 ATL.
That's where the available spots are being targeted for the August guys.
AE in the fall, returning bypass guys can bid it. Not sure about the new hires.

Vikz09,
My personal opinion is that it will take you very little time to get to MSP, assuming you don't get it right out of class. Believe it or not, MSP has become quite junior, & that's actually where the most vacancies are right now. We just had a good amount of DTW DC9 FO's go to NYC M88 so they could hold a line. It's not a very large base, MSP M88 is definitely the bigger of the 2. Last AE they almost doubled the size of MSP M88 to 160ish FO's, & while some bid in I think it was a net loss of FO's creating even more vacancies. Add to that the 50+ MSP A320 FO vacancies, & I'm thinking MSP is more understaffed then DTW & definitely NYC.
While I understand your frustration with being held back(Im sure you want out of Compass ASAP) I don't think you need to worry about getting locked out of MSP or in NYC.
When you do get here, welcome.

Vikz please take a step back. You will be a dal pilot just keep your mouth shut and ride the wave. You will be home at some point and have a great career. Just remember there are poolies that should have been on the property before you. Just be greatful for the opportunity! Personally I hope things work out for everyone so join us on the humble, appreciative and waiting train.
I also will gladly give you a welcome aboard when you get on which I hope will be shortly.

My appologies vikz. Congtats! Not going to class was very hard I lost everything, sometimes I get a little riled up when people are not humble. Perhaps a handshake in the crewroom someday let's hope!

Thank you sailing that is 99% more information than we have received. Thank you for answer the concerns of the compass pilots. Our frustration lies first and foremost with compass management because of the lack of information. This is obviously a new adventure that has permanent ramifications and with no information to go on, it becomes very frustrating to determine.
I am not sure anyone in the Compass union me included has been told that there are no seat/domicle locks until now. Again thanks

As pointed out by others your likely to be at the top of your class. Getting held back might actually give you a better shot at your base of choice.
Is the company doing something in violation of the contract? If not then its time to accept it and move on. If it is a violation that file a grievance.

England 1, USA 1.
Oh boy. Can you say, FUMBLE!?! Its funny, USA fans are cheering, UK fans are mad.
---
I thought recalls could go wherever their seniority allowed, is that not the case? There were recalls with my class in 08 that were going straight to the 764, which obviously was not a new hire position.
