It's now 300 hours in a rolling 3 year period. (It got changed from 240 with the JCBA) |

June and yes, when you are at your 9th year... prorated if you have less years of service.
So with less then 9 years of service we get a prorated amount of less then 300 hours in a rolling 3 year period at 100%? Guess I'd better get my contract out.:o |

I might be senile and I think I understand what you are saying but my problem with such a broad statement is this: If we demand too big a slice and somehow succeed in arbitration/self help the results can also be bad, ie contract 2000 (it was great for a while but after 9/11 not economically feasible) or another scenario; fuel goes up or our pay is so high they can't buy enough fuel and we shut down a/c and furlough.
I think our negotiators will figure out how much the company can afford and then ask for more but settle as close to 100% as possible. In 30 plus years of this I know that when the company does well I do well but when the company stumbles I take serious gas (loss of pension, downgrades, pay cuts etc.). In short we need to get every dime available and absolutely no more scope givebacks, period ! |

There is a lot to learn about it. What Bar is basically saying is that D-ALPA took a 600 million dollar bargaining credit for relaxed scope, and Slow and Alfa are telling him he is full of bs.
Point to all of it is, that Bar wants to make a salient point that we better not sell 100 seat flying. If Bar's salient point is that scope should not be traded for bargaining credits, I agree completely. |

ASA wasn't as guilty as Comair but they weren't anywhere the saint some make them out to be.... seems the only way to get hired at ASA was to be an ex-ASA pilot.
I had an ATR type, 2000 in type, went & saw them at the Air Inc Job fair, and 3 letters of rec from ASA Capt's and couldn't buy an interview at ASA... l |

I think I finally understand now. 300 hours in a rolling 3 year period at 100%. Since I'm just starting my 3rd year of longevity, the amount I receive in June will be prorated. |

Management sure seems to be biding its time to see what we might be willing to sell. |

The only thing in sick time that is prorated is the hours you get per year, if you are a new hire or returning from furlough. That was the only question on this year's Advanced Calculus final exam at Harvard. Most of the class failed. |
