Yeah I know. It is wishful thinking on my part. I just get sick of the airlines getting bashed because of everything from trying to make a profit to the weather to not having a choice of meals on that $129 transcontinental flight. We fly halfway around the world successfully everyday, and arrive within 10-15 minutes of scheduled time a great portion of the time, yet are taken for granted. So... now they got what they wanted. The "PBOR". Now they have the right to stay home when the weather turns ugly and there is a possibility that they would arrive late at their destination. NOW... they will be standby when the weather turns better because all those people that have tickets on the full flights leaving the next day or two lucked out with the weather. They should get down on their knees and tell their congressman that they are appreciative. I wonder if they can reschedule that cruise.....

The fourth floor probably is not the ones making the decisions on this! :D

Mahogany Row is. The 4th floor is drawing up battle plans for the Admiral.

I said before it was passed that this bill would come back to bite passengers in the butt. They made the bed, & now they get to sleep in it.

I hope they enjoy! :)

SWA cancelled nearly all flights out of MDW (one of their biggest cities) from 10am today (tue 2/9) untill 10am (web 2/10). Thanks Congress...

Nothing against you but the game is never really over. I just think rampant speculation regardless of good intentions does little service to the pilot group. Better to see how the chips fall and plan from there. In the end we'll all be fine as long as there is a management team in place that wants to run an airline. Fortunately for us that is the case at Delta.

Enuff,

I would say you are correct if Pilots on this Forum were taking action on the rampant speculation - which would be pretty stupid. On the other hand there is nothing wrong with keeping in tune with the "possibilities" for the sake of supposition.

Based on UALs numbers:

Bad news for mainline UAL:
UAX flying increased by almost 23% year-over-year.
(that's what happens when mgmt. decides to ark he guppies)

Good news, for Transatlantic traffic:
UAL reports traffic up by nearly 7%year-over-year, other markets flat

This should be a good indication of a recovery across the Atlantic.
DAL is the biggest US carrier across the Atlantic and we took it on the chin.

Maybe we'll see some 75s rejoining the fleet after getting a little R&R in the dessert...

The May bid should have a decent amount of AE on the ER...

Cheers
George
