IMO it is more along the lines of doing what is expected, keeping the operation going, and aid the passengers. We are the front line and in many cases the difference between a return customer and a complaint. That is how you aid the company. Information that is timely, accurate and without bias. When I was at my AMR interview, we all looked like clones except for 2 guys. One guy was wearing cowboy boots and neither had red ties. When we were all in a big room waiting for what was next, an important looking guy stuck his head in the room and said sort of laughingly, "No red ties, you two won't be getting hired," chuckled and walked out. We all thought that was strange. Neither one was hired. True story.
