OK, I will leave you with this.

Anyone hearing of a HNL 7ER base?

Capt told me this one!

acl65pilot 04-05-2010 02:46 PM

Waves, for some reason it is still not showing contact info. See if you have to verify the e-mail addy.

And YOU.. the Puxitawney Phil of APC bought it?

Now I am truly worried.

I did not say I bought it! Waves just wanted a conversation piece so I figured I would help out! :D

Idea is nice though.

Hate to disagree with you, even as a commuter, 5 days is too long to be away. Also, if you get stuck with a bad trip it is nearly impossible to get rid of because of coverage for all 5 days. Not looking forward to 5 day trips. I can get a full month with 3 4 days if they're properly constructed. I'd still need at least one more trip even if I get two 5 day - don't need three 5 day trips a month.

OK, I'll check it out. By the way, is this a friendly PM, or am I in trouble?

Edit: OK acl , check it again.

I'm guessing MEM is seeing them just to keep us busy and prevent our closure. We basically leave MEM and may see it once during those 5 days, when we return. I do miss our 1 day FL turns, those were the glory days.

Why would anyone want 5-day trips? I love it when I can pick up a high time 4-day trip with 6-7 hours average block time a day. That means, I work four days, max out my 30 in 7 time. The result is, I spend 1-3 days less at work than an individual who is doing 5-day trips.

Doing three 4-day high-time trips gives me an average of 19 days off ... and depending on the actual block time flown, lots of days to pick up a greenslip.

Just saying ...

Hey DAL,

I think you're missing the point here. It's not so much that we liked the 5 day trips. It's more that we liked minimizing the number of commutes more. I think that will become more evident with the new cadre of commuters coming down the pike.

Your looking at this the wrong way ... and you're spending more time at work.
