Oh please say it ain't another merger, my meager seniority can't take more guys on top of me! I'll be on reserve forever.

A merger may have saved your meager seniority. Where would either airline have been without the synergies of the merger? Why was Delta the only legacy that didn't furlough?
Guys on top of you aren't psychologically pleasant. Looking from the outside in is even worse....
