VPR;
I like that idea, but the reason for my proposal was to keep trip credit and reserve SC credit as to seperate line item issues.

I think that the trip should pay the same for a reserve or a line holder. I also think that a reserve should be protected for portions of a trip that are canceled after report.

In direct response to your suggestion. As you posted, the credit would go towards the 70 hrs of reserve pay and the hr of pay would go above 70 correct?

I'd be nice in C2012 to have:

Every reserve day credited at DPM on an as you go basis(not a look back at the end of the month).

Reserve and lineholders paid the same for all rotations.

All short call periods are paid at duty credit (1 for 2) or whatever is flown.

When you look at your pay statement on Icrew and it says that your current c/o rate is 1.472905, what does this mean?

Beer, that is the pay per minute of work. They take the hourly rate and extrapolate it out to the minute. So:
1.472905 X 60 = 88.3743 per hr

Shiz, that means 12 hrs of pay for a 24 hr sc. I like that.

Along with that, if they go to assigning SC to junior guys it does not kill the senior guys by making them fly the first trips that pop up. In the end it would still honor seniority in the assignment portion of Section 23 but allow a person to bid SC and possibly gain a few extra hrs of pay for it.

This plan would not automatically add hrs to ones pay, they would need to work to make that happen, and because of that, it would more than likely be received warmly by the other side of the table.

Thoughts?

Skywest paid guys for breaking guarantee. Lets say you sat 20 days of reserve but flew only 15 days. In those 15 days of flying you accrued only 69.99 hours of credit. You would be paid your 70 hour guarantee for the month.

Now lets say you actually got 70.01 hours of credit in those 15 days of flying. You would now get the 70.01 hours of credit PLUS you sat 5 more days of reserve. You get paid 3:15 for each of those 5 days. The reserve pilot now gets paid 86:16 for the month.

I had this happen where I needed 4 minutes to break guarantee. I had 5 days where I sat reserve and didn't get called. I got the 4 minutes on the last leg of the month. By breaking guarantee I turned 70 hours of pay into 93ish!!!! (also had some other credit......think I picked up a trip on a day off) I think Skyw had a 75 hour guarantee as well.....can't remember.

I like your idea of getting pay credit for short call. I'd also like to add getting pay credit for days sitting reserve if we break guarantee.

Johnso, she and probably you. When my son had his first, he and I needed to get in to the shower afterwords. I picked him up, and he proceeded to smear the cake all over my face and hair. It was awesome. I still cherish those pictures of that day!

Enjoy Daddy.

Trust me, I am aware that many of the regional carriers have better items in their contract under section 23 than we do.

That makes sense but if you look at your pay statements, that number changes a little. If it was a minute rate it should stay the same, shouldn't it?

Also, my flight advance pay has never changed. Is it supposed to go up?
Thank god I have a job but this being on reserve again has really hurt my take home!!
