They start your pay on the 8th in above mentioned scenario. Conversely, for those of us who had a classmate finish OE after the 15th, in my case I think its the 26th, they started my 3rd year pay then and not at the beginning of the next month as NWA would have.

Did you file a grievance? DAL has to do it either the NWA way or the DAL way, not a mix of the two, so that it benefits them

Honestly, if I were to file a grievance it would be that our pay anniversary should be the same as the rest of our DAL brother, DOH.

If you decide to file one, don't do it over the ticky tacky business of when your classmate finished IOE. Go for the whole enchilada and get parity with the rest of our brothers.

That grievance will help all FNWA and one I stand behind.

we already tried, the LECs were behind us but the MEC wouldnt hear it. You shouldve gotten your pay credit on the 15th not the 26th just like my group shouldve gotten it on the 1st instead of the 8th.

If they want us to get our longevity credit as we did under NWA instead of DOH like DAL then we should get it EXACTLY like it was under NWA. Jacking this around is just a double slap in the face.

I second that, and if one isn't filed it is more prove that the issues that the North guys have is not being addressed. Over 20 years those 2 months turn into 3 yrs of pay.

I did think about the lack of depth at QB in DEN, but I don't think Timy is tha answer. I'm no QB coach, and I didn't sleep in the HI Express last night, but has anybody else noticed that in his revamped throwing motion he has little if any follow through? That is a very very basic ball throwing thing we all learned in Little League, and it seems he has none. I dunno.. maybe he will be the next Peyton Manning.

as I understood it, if it was after the 15th, we did not get it till the 1st of the next month(old Nwa way). That being the case, it's a bit of a raise for half the FNWA.

I wonder if this means they HAVE to move -400 time from DTW, or is this time from the rumored EXTRA -400's we are getting or keeping.

I also wonder if there are about 2200 North pilots who will ignore this rumored opening so I can get to the left seat! :D

Any seat on that thing is a great job though. :)

The point is that DAL is picking and choosing what they want to do with this instead of sticking with 1 method. I realize you dont care because it benefits you but that doesnt make it right for those of us that this is affecting in a negative way. It cant be both ways and this will be getting grieved by the other half of us. I'm sure you'd do the same if you were on the other side.

We should all be getting it at DOH but since we arent than they need to follow the contract how it was written.

Depends on the flying. One thing I've learned during my time on the 330 is that 9 hours is long enough and 2 guys in a bunk room is one too many. :D

I talked to the folks in crew planning about a week ago, in person, and he stated that it should be a positive AE with new vacancies on the 777 and the 744 which should help move everything upwards. He mentioned that there was a wildcard they were waiting on approval from upper management, but he wouldn't say what it was. I guess it could be NYC 744.

Denny Crane 04-23-2010 07:08 AM

A lot of the vacancies on the 744, whether in DTW or JFK, are probably coming from the PIRP retirees that will retire this month and from the last couple of months.
