Ferd/Keenster,

I had this happen a few times over the years due to various issues. But if you are within 1 day just book it as personal travel - this has worked for me on occasion when "HAL" did not think I was going/coming from work.

Scoop

Scoop,
That worked like a champ, thanks so much!!

That is why I hate branding ourselves with the regionals that could care less and give us a bad name. SWA, Airtran,Spriit, etc hold 100% of their destiny in their hands and do not have a regional out there doing a crappy job for them. Show me the money there. What do we make off the regionals????;)

Keenster,

Did you ever work for a regional carrier? If you did then I trust that your speaking from your own experience. At the regional carrier I worked for we prided ourselves on doing a good job. We strived for on-time, good service, well maintained and clean aircraft ect...

One thing I've noticed since arriving at Delta is the lack of understanding in regards to the regional product. I'll admit that some are awful. Many captains I fly with are mad when the regionals cancel a bunch of flights. Did you know that most of the time its the mainline carrier that cancels those flights? They do that to recover the slots for otherwise delayed mainline flights.

I don't know how many times I've heard pax complain about mainline service. Then as they get off the plane they praise us for a fine job and better experience. I believe a few of those letters helped clinch the job for me when I interviewed. Many of the great Delta pilots that we all think we are were the regional drivers of yesterday. They got here by being professionals and doing the best with the tools they were given.

;)

My apologies to those guys who have done and will continue to do a good job at the regionals. Yes there are those that do a good job and care but in general everyone I know and talk to hate flying on smaller aircraft and also do not have good things to say about some of our affiliates. You are only as good as your weakest link. I say fix it or get rid of it. Simple as that. This was not meant as to be a slam on the regional pilots doing a good job out there. But, when you see a don't care attitude, sloppy pax care and the attitude that it does not matter if we put people in the seats or not we still make a profit(and that would be at the expense of DAL) that bothers me!!!!!!!!!!!.

Ihave 767er recurrent tomorrow and my schedule says S65B. I know that is 767 sim #5, but I can't find which building it's in. Is it in the newest sim building?

Looking at the sim schedule it looks like it is a ER sim in OC-3 in ATL. I do believe that you are correct, it is the new sim building. The building number is located at the top of the page.

Thanks Denny, I found it after about a 30 minute Easter Egg hunt on the Flight Ops website. Lots of good info there but sometimes hard to find!

From a purely technical perspective, the next leg up could carry the price of crude up to the $100 a barrel area before it encounters significant overhead resistance: That price level will once again push us into the Depression danger zone.
