It is 20 a month from CPS and 9 a clas from Mesaba. Mesaba can actually flow more per year than CPS is classes are every two weeks.

CPS is limited to 25% of the list. Mesaba is not.

I hope 2011 is a banner year and they are scrambling with 100 a month in February!

I do not have all the answers nor all of the data, but 240 is uber conservative. My hunch is that we will see more than that, but we need to start with at least 240 and the reevaluate this Sept and then again in Dec, and March to the numbers needed for next summer and beyond.

Either way it will be conservative so that if the economy tanks we are not throwing bodies in the sea to save the ship. After 2011 it will at a min be a steady stream.

I am glad to see us doing this now. It show forward thinking and will allow the pipeline time to get the correct bodies in the correct seats.
No wager, I imagine it will probably be more than 240, and from where I sit I'll take as many as Steve wants to authorize!!!

Can't wait to hear the new DC-9 FO's from CZ/XJ complaining how the regionals are taking all the mainline flying....

Glad your gamble is paying off. Will be happy to see you aboard in a few.
The irony is I always wanted northwest but was told they would never hire from the outside and new hires would onlu come from compost and mesabe. Then the day of my type nwa opens the app window and begins the process of hiring a 150. Now former co-workers get hired at nwa and I am locked into compost for 30 months. One thing that worked in my favor is that no hiring took place after those 150 at the old nwa and I had 3 years of rock star seniorty.... which may never happen again.

God I hope to be a age 55 guy.. my own personal reward for a 30 year career. Wish we had fire fighter like pensions

Should have said 30 years at the airlines and 20 at the majors... no, I am not 25. At 55 I hope to be harrassing the local beer cart ladies on the golf course. Hard work but with hard work I think I could be pretty successfull in this endeavor.

They will also be looking fondly back on the days of glass flightdecks and good looking FAs.

Welcome aboard!

Exciting news! Let's hope we hire at least twice that!

I'm excited to see this AE. Dickson's memo talked about basically cancelling the push of bodies off the WB's to the NB's. Lots of reinstatements on this AE maybe??
