The South birds only have one, right?
Whaaat! It takes you 3 minutes?! You're ahead of the the game!! Yes the South birds only have one logbook.

We need only the WDR/preface, the FOM no longer requires a pax count like it did in the past... (FOM 5.6.1)

Note: It is permissible to relinquish the FDRA and close the cabin door prior to receiving the WDR uplink; however, crews must be in possession of the
WDR and Preface prior to pushback. When the departure gate is staffed by more than one gate agent, the final onboard passenger count may not be
known by the agent collecting the FDRA.

I wonder if this works, it looks cheap and easy to install. Wintips for the 88? 9? everyone?

The whole D-0 emphasis and the charging for checked baggage (forcing everyone to try to carry-on as much as possible) seem to be in direct conflict.

We better get this figured out pretty quick or we are going to have some pretty poor numbers this summer.

Scoop
But did you block in at A+14? This is the big tracked/published number by the DOT. The D+0 is only important to the stations internally for ranking and MANAGER'S/SUPERVISOR'S BONUSES.

It takes me 3 minutes to REALIZE I have forgotten their name. I'm sure I forget it right away.

That's what I meant to say, there are really two level off calls on the 88:

"100' above/below and still climbing/descending" and "oh #### what altitude we're we assigned?!?"

500' checks are not so intrusive and not a bad idea.
Pretty sure the 500' "checks" call was for incapacitation and for stablized approach.

In reading the Rolling Stone article about Gen McChrystal I noticed that he likes to drink Bud Lite Lime. As a reminder to us all, "don't fruit the beer!"

Scoop
According to the LGA gate agents they are going to start charging for carry on bags that do not fit in to the Size Wise units.

Yep. Can still see the video in the hollowed out recesses of my brain.

I agree about the 500' check. I'm always quietly ensuring the gear and flaps at about that time as well.
