It will be interesting to see if they squeeze 'em.
I, Forgot to Bid, do solemnly swear that I will not look for nor post any picture that would help describe Check's, uh... colorful imagery... nor will I comment on Check calling the members of the MEC as b@!!$ squeezers.
I will faithfully execute the Office of Peanut Gallery of the Latest and Greatest About Delta and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the readers from said imagery.

Compass E175's are owned by Delta (NW owned them on factory delivery).
Mesaba CRJ900's are owned by Delta (NW owned them on factory delivery).
Mesaba Saab 340's are leased by Delta (NW leased them from SAAB).

Delta maintains ownership/leases of all aircraft listed above with the transactions.

What I don't know about are the CRJ-200's at Mesaba and Pinnacle. Under NWA they were controlled/leased by NWA and then farmed out. Mesaba's CR2 fleet only exists because NWA took them from Pinnacle and placed them at Mesaba after Pinnacle pilots didn't agree to certain terms. But I get the impression that since the merger the leases on the CR2's at Pinnacle & Mesaba are no longer sub-leased from Delta.

I'm sure we'll see some fine performance from the Compass and Mesaba pilots when/if the flow gets shut down. Nothing against those guys, I just think motivation might become an issue.

Those guys might have some juice in this whole situation.
I don't have their contracts in front of me, but I would think they probably have to agree to any continuation or modifications to the flow-throughs.
If they don't play ball, and the flow "ceases to be available", that triggers the 85 airframe restriction in Delta's scope clause.
Its a tangled web.

It is hard to imagine any of them showing up for work this weekend and 60 days correlates nicely with the end of peak summer flying. But, we are pilots and do our jobs faithfully.

The position of the D-MEC Reps is that they had no knowledge what so ever of this transaction and were caught completely by surprise.

All of this was predicted a long time ago.

They'll become familiar with it very quickly because I think they will be meeting to discuss what to give up to get rid of the lower cap if the flow is cancelled. Call and let your reps know that this is our no furlough clause and they better not give it up for anything less than the $85 million that Delta just put in the bank.

Just figured out that if we divided up the $85 million between the pilots we would only get about $7K each. Better get MORE than the $85 million if we're gonna give it up.
