9 days of reserve for me ending tomorrow. Done 2 SC's, a 4 day, 3 day, 2 day, & SC tomorrow. If I get a day trip tomorrow I'll hit a cycle!

Did they fly you into your days off or something? And when did you get your 24 hours off? Geeze. If you have a DC-9 guy feeling sorry for you, you need to take some time off.

The results of this are the true litmus test of being short in a category and can be pretty lucrative. Even on the -9. You might even make contract 2000 straight pay!

The DC9 and 88 have the same packs as far as I know with a shortened fuselage, and the problem was bad enough on that - accepted practice during hot wx to keep the plane cool was engines and APU running right up to before TO check. Start the APU as part of after landing flow. Turn off at gate IF and only if external hooked up AND blowing cold.
Oh, if only the others followed your advice....

The SNA layover sucks. I'm surprised you're getting used this much. I sat four short-call days in a row at the beginning of the month without working. I'm on a 16 hour 4-day right now. It ends with a red-eye so it's only 3 duty periods, but still... It seems like I'm the only one on the 320 in DTW not getting used.
