No kidding Johnso. I live about 10 miles from him and one of my buddies did a film with him. Mel Gibson has lost it completely. Very sad.

I'm just shocked at his behavior. For as devout as he has been, he seems to have massively strayed off the path he claims to live by.

I mean this guy used to go to service done in Latin! Now that's hard core.

If Mel Gibson got an award for his role in Lethal Weapon, he should give it back. He wasn't acting.

Anyone else get caught up in the "computer meltdown" today at ATL? Issues with flight plans, clearances, and AWABs. I heard an ops guy refer to a technology issue - I wonder if this was the same time the DELTANET went down?

They have always been great for me. They do take some time and have a process. They follow. If you are the type that has to have it resolved overnight then you might be frustrated. I have had 3 major issues with crew scheds in the last years. Dalpa took care of all 3 for me and put enough money in my pocket to buy a car from the issues. You also have a process to follow. You should have asked crew scheds to resolve the issue. If they refuse to your satisfaction then you go to the CP's office. If that does not work then you go to Dalpa.

We got an ACARS check en route this evening.... "hey if you get this, please respond."

Then when we did... "ok cool... glad to know we can still talk with you guys."

Yeah, that was a fun hour or so.
No joy obtaining a PDC, and after a bit, we discovered that clearance had nothing for us. We ended up filing the flight plan ourselves. When the computers came back up, we received 5 PDCs. (The cockpit sounded like a pachinko parlor for a few minutes)

It would appear that I'm no different from a rodent in a lab experiment: Tap on the button repeatedly, and eventually a pellet will come out...
