Do the reports indicate if we are hedging fuel at this low price or is Mmt so gun shy from being upside down that they are not hedging any more?

Most airlines are not hedged.

I saw that our cash fell to just over six billion.

When I can read the full report, I will let you know what I think.

I think most airline are hedged for part of fuel costs. Dal for 2009 last I saw was a ceiling of 36% at 118 and a floor of 24% 119 according to morningstar.

Let me rephrase that. After 2009 most airlines are not yet hedged.

SWA : 50% hedged at $90 in 2010 according to the article.

They also expected to be solidly profitable in 2008. They have not been right on a single one of their forward looking guesses in the last 7 years.
