2. They are not very profitable, and we are stuck in long term contracts with more than we need.

I think this is a great use of them in the interim....Also it frees up larger gauge equipment on routes that can handle it and takes inventory out of the system in other places to allow for higher prices in a supply/demand curve.
Exactly Shiz.

Everything is profitable at the right price. The question is how many will pay that
price? hence this is a smart plan to test the waters for this RDU thing with rjs. Next, try BNA and RIC. If demand is there bring in the 76 seaters.

The good thing is this is a lot of press when you do this kind of stuff. All of a sudden the local radio stations and billboards announcing Delta noticed our city and is going to fly to Cancun direct!!!!

Hey guys,

Would anyone be able to give advice on the 'open time' request process? I've been out on leave for 2 months and go back next week. I am having trouble with entering the open time request... think I screwed it up. Thanks

Maybe more bodies if they simply don't replace the DC9s. AND if they're DC9 REPLACEMENT aircraft, who gets to fly them.

When you fly an A319, you get A320 pay. So why when I fly an 88, do I not get 90 pay? It's the same category, even more so now that all 88 bases will be 90 trained. Here's an idea, next time the company wants a side letter, we say "sure.....just sign this first"!
I like the way you think Officer.

As far as the Amish jokes, that's just me being a y-zass. Can't help that part dude, it's in the DNA. And for the record, I've never said things around here are being run by the Amish. I've just said that it would be an improvement if they did.

I did it again...didn't I

Maybe their bonuses were in jeopardy.
