Is there a way to find out which plane a newhire is going to? I know the guy, but then again I don't. I was just interested in knowing which fleet he was going to.
Denny, probably not too much interpretation required. Here's the contract language from Section 3 B. 4. "If, as a result of that review, it is determined that, as of the date the review was triggered, the Delta top-of-scale 757 Captain composite hourly rate is less than 100% of the average of the top-of-scale 757 Captain hourly domestic day rates at United, American, USAir and Continental, the pilot composite hourly rates will be increased".
I'm no lawyer, but that seems pretty clear to me.

It's also possible AA might have a contract by the end of that 18 month period too.............or maybe not.

Of course we will be in contract negotiations by then too but this could be a second bite or a bite we don't have to wait for with a new contract? That is provided this section is even activated by any raise for noncontract employees.
Curiosity on my part only.

Here is what I get from APC for 757 rates (CO is large narrowbody):
DL : 175
AMR : 174
CO : 169
UA : 159
US : 144
Average of other 4 is 161.50. We would need some big gains by CO/UA to bring up the average. Interesting question is whether after the merger, the CO/UA rate will be counted once in the average with three carriers, or twice in the average with four carriers. We get another 4% in Jan 2011 and Jan 2012 so that will require even bigger gains by CO/UA. Here's to hoping.

I would expect a JCBA between UA/CO to definitely pass our pay scales by. The question is by how much? If they don't then we will not be in a good position for our negotiations but I would think any contract they come up with that has lower than our pay scales would most probably be rejected by the membership.
As I mentioned to Pineapple, maybe AA will have a contract by then too.
And US Air!
Hey, 18 months is a long time........My guess is the Company would be for whichever way would keep the pay lower and the Union for whichever way would increase pay more! Gee, that was a hard one!!

Of course Ole Miss isn't shown but I think we all would like to hang out at an Ole Miss game.
FOOTBALL TRASH TALK!!!!
ahhhh.
You know though, out of all of those stadiums, if I was a visiting fan or a visiting football team I'd give anything to play in any of those 100,000+ seat stadiums then to ever, ever, ever go down to the cesspool that is LSU and play in that monster. That place would seat 200,000 if you let it, and it makes 92,000 sound like 250,000. Its really the worst place to have to play on a Saturday night and also the tackiest.
Best part, is when LSU informs the visiting teams not to identify their vehicles as being out of state and that they cannot investigate damage done to your vehicle during the game.

Interesting stats.
Big Ten 1,2,3. And the next 3 Big Ten teams (Wisconsin, Iowa, Mich St) would be much higher on the list if their stadium capacity allowed it. They sell out pretty much every game.
Gotta admit however, the same could be said of several SEC teams.
Every game a sell out.

I think this is the first month since the merger I haven't moved up a single number due to a retirement or whatever, so that makes them even more welcome. Let's keep the relative seniority increasing one way or another. Looks like a minimum of 54 new people added to the list.
The Cat list is generated before the 5th of the preceding month. Wait until Sept 1, 2010 and look at the system seniority list.
Welcome newbies. We are darn glad to have ya.
Simple walk in to class on day one and look at their name plates. It has their seat and base on em. They have bid for them prior to class this time around.
FtB;
They said the 6th, so I am taking them on their word that it will be on or about that date.
