or you could just get in your car, drive to midtown and you would think you are in SFO!!!

Honestly..I have never seen any of the fares that SWA or AAI offer for $69 each way. Every time I have looked, it is always around $200 each way!!

FDX includes delivery to the door. You'd have to add cab fare for an apples to apples comparison.

I have no idea how he persuaded the clerk to allow him to do this.. but he told this story on air.. in essence.. he stole from the airlines. I figured he was orgasmic when he heard about this. He has been hating on DAL for a long time.

He's really really proud of the fact that he bought her engagement ring at COSTCO. He even has been known to show the receipt for it. The ring is listed just under a 6 pack.... of socks.

Where is Slow, he had some numbers once on SLC with DAL vs SWA that was interesting. Slow?

If you'll notice, they haven't offered those kinds of fares in a long time (at least not here in Florida). They know that they have the public brainwashed into believing that they are THE low fare airline.. Now it's all about the bags...

Beer/Tsquare,

This post is in no way meant to prove you guys wrong, but only to show how Southwest Airlines marketing puts a "spin" on their fares.

As you'll see from their site, they're offering specific one-way fares now at $49-$109. (A vagrant can't even get a Greyhound ticket for that price.) The catch, and this is where their marketing department has done a great job of convincing the general public that they're the cheapest, is by offering a minimal amount of these fares, possibly only one $49 one-way fare from each base.

Southwest Airlines | Book Flights, Airline Tickets, Airfare (Site included for reference purposes, in no way intended to promote the competition.)

As you both have stated too, they're not always the cheapest, but "public perception" is over half the battle.

Fly safe,

GJ
