It sure isn't gaining traction with some of the Captains I've been flying with. One guy didn't even know what an E-175 was and the other guy agreed that we should let DCI fly them unless they pay DC-9 pay to bring them to mainline. He thought it was the stupidest idea on earth to bring them over with the current pay then try to negotiate higher pay later. Both of them thought I was a junior guy whining and that DALPA was doing just fine on the issue. They didn't get it that for every two 76-seaters we saw, there was one less Delta captain junior to them on their list.

Luckily I've had some pretty positive feedback from the latest captains I've been flying with.

Hopefully Rocky's captains are in a shrinking minority.

I have flown with several that don't know what the E jet is either but of course they've been in terminal E for years, they can't handle seeing an MD88 tied up at terminal E and can barely accept a 737. (tongue in cheek there)

Captains and FOs I fly with that commute were very familiar. Soon I guess all of the BOS and DC area commuters will be REAL familiar with it as the shuttle is replaced. So that should be a healthy amount of pilots willing to think about stapling?

Maybe we can start a campaign that whenever you see an E jet you say; "hey, don't you think... blah blah blah..." or we can start playing punch buggy!

Just be mindful it might take a while to catch on.

Me too! Funny how they'll talk to you when you praise them, but as soon as you voice a complaint they go silent!

My rep never returned my calls. Answered a couple emails.... and answering only in the "i got something back" sense. He didn't even respond to my questions in one of them, and in the next one he asked me to call him.

Go figure.
