Well, the minutes from each meeting in which these resolutions were proposed are available to all of us. Those minutes will also tell you if said resolutions were accepted or not.
Many thanks to all the DTW320B's that bid down to reserve for December. Sure gonna be nice to not be commuting to reserve. |

I suppose only time will tell.
It's a great jet. Burn is around 2800 per engine at max weight in the cruise. They do seem to shred engines with a disturbing regularity. Last one was about 10 days ago during the takeoff roll. Sparks and pieces dropping off etc ... RR/BMW are on fix 2.2 and climbing. . It may be one of the reasons why SWA is like "you really want em'? Have em'. We can get 737s." I think for DAL they'd like to work through those problems if they can get young 117 seaters for a very good price. Of course DAL getting the 717s from AAI as AAI becomes SWA is ironic given the 9s that went to Valujet from Delta. Maybe the only reason Delta wants to do this is to complete the circle? The circle of life? Hakuna Matata. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3087/...29ce2974_z.jpg |

I can see the new commercials now:
Amtrak: We won't touch your junk. Ride Amtrak: We won't feel you up. |

The rumors from within Delta and from within the SWA pilot group is 717s to DAL. I get messages about it all of the time via the SWA threads. The SWA guys are hearing it on their end from their management folks and we're hearing it from ours. Hence, the rumor. Now, what is not a rumor that we have presented to the board a MD88/90 cockpit retrofit. What is a strong rumor is that it will allow a single category with the current fleet and the Saudi MD90s and AirTran 717s with the advanced cockpits.

You may be connecting the wrong dot with the right lines. Or not ....
Remember the 17 Click 717's that are sitting around looking for a new home ? They ordered 25 from Boeing Capital Corp in 09. Boeing: Boeing, Mexicana Group Agree to 25-Airplane 717 Leasing Deal 17 may not be enough of a fleet unless they can combine them with another fleet. One bead on have on the AAI jets is one out of LUV. Just what I was told, now we will see if DAL get em or not, but adding the Click or AAI jets to the HI fleet would make a lot of sense for DAL long term. It would probably be an idea jet for LAX and many routes out of ATL. |
Heyas,
Adding the 717s is pure fantasy, like the EMB-195 and the Cseries before that. My contacts over at AAI say that they have NO intention of parting with the jets, and, in fact, have rock solid language in their lease with Boeing to grab the remaining 25 that were the MEX/Click birds at very attractive rates. This has been confirmed by GK at SWA. Plus having a new 100 seater on the property does nothing to promote the scope give-a-way that will be pushed in 2012. Its VERY awkward to try to get your pilot group to give away a jet class they still fly. Why do you think DC-9-30s with 3-4 years worth of cycles left on them were sent to the desert to rot? Sorry, but if Occam were here, he'd be pushing his Razor. There are no 100 seaters at DAL because management doesn't want them here. Nu |

But the part I really agree with, is that Delta doesn't want a 100 seater. If they wanted one, they would of had one. |

The only thing is I was told specifically that the board wants every MD90 built and they want 717s. I just cannot for the life of me remember if it was "every" 717 or just 717s. However, it is our management pilots talking about AAI 717s. |
