Hey.
Does anyone know how to get pay/hours from your bank? I worked 90+ hours in October, but from what I understand, the first 5 over 80 automatically went into my bank. Of course, greedy me, I want it all. :D It will only deduct 5 hours from over 80 if your bank is negative, so as long as your bank is not negative, it should pay you the entire 90hrs. We no longer have -positive- bank, you just get paid the full amount, but you can borrow up to 30 (go negative) to fill up a short month. Then when ever you go over 80 in future months, it will take up to 5 back to fill up what you borrowed to fill up in earlier months. Clear as mud? |

There is another thread for this.. but... you say something here that kind of struck a chord, and I wanted to comment here rather than try to go to the other place.
Since alpa is a multi-airline multi national corporation, I question it's dedication to the DELTA pilot efforts other than maybe payrates, and that is a self serving interest. I really am beginning to have my doubts as to the sincerity of the national organization with respect to the DELTA pilots' needs. And I am talking about strictly the Delta pilots here. It is clearly a conflict of interest. /rant |
Thanks guys for the quick response.
I think us former NWA'ers had our banks transferred over,so I like most guys started with a negative 15 hours automatically. I now show a negative 9 hours. But, I'm not in the "mood" to pay it back right now (70 hours on reserve hurts :) ) So, how do I get that 5-6 hours back out of the bank? |

I don't know if there are different "rules" for former NWA but if the rules are the same as south side, you should be able to go negative 30, so you go to Icrew, Pay, bank, and make a request to "fill up". If you are already negative 15 it should still be able to give you another 15, for a 85 month. But....next month if you are stuck on res. at 70, you are screwed...because you will be max negative, unless you only ask for say, 5hrs. this month, that would leave you 10 more for future short months. |

Ya know, I do not even know why I respond some times.
We all know that C2012 is a time for major gains towards the value of our career. This LOA cleaned up a lot of language that needed to be cleaned up, and it gave a bunch of items that the line pilots demanded though resolution. It is proof positive that yep, the process is working, albeit too slowly for many. I knew the first question out of your mouth was going to be, "What did we have to give up for it" So I just answered the question! Even you must admit you would have asked it! :D So, did ya read the 38 pages of ALPA's response the the NPRM? 1) They did not agree with 10 hrs of flight time, but with their original proposal. 2) They added some very precise language on many other items. It is a good read. Reading all of that Scientific Mumbo Jumbo makes me think those guys might actually know what they are talking about! :D |

Actually, the first question I asked is "Why am I always hearing about things after they are done. I'm used to seeing the entire agenda for MEC meetings published well in advance of the meeting. Much easier to provide feedback on things I know are going to be discussed instead of asking for things to be discussed then sitting in th communicatio ns black hole until after something is resolved, passed, negotiated, signed and them released to the surprised pilot group.

Hey Jug,
Wouldn't AAI/SWA really like to keep these airframes out of DAL's hands ? AAI before and now AAI/SWA, like Bar, probably thinks we're idiots for wanting Douglas jets. I like it! I'd heard this was in the works with AAI prior to the merger? Hence, "we haven't found a 100 seater we really like..." If we get them, that's fantastic but I still think we should get some big props on property. I'd like to go back to flying props but this time really big props.

Of course AS can buy HI and get via our current code share up to 50% of the seats on any flight that HI which now would be AS operates.
Only problem stopping there is that it is way to big of a hole in our network if AS is bought by someone. It could be step one though.

Reserve rest question. I got a reserve green slip and my partial day of rest ends at 0200 on Thu. There are several 0700 reports in open time. Am I liable to fly them? If I don't respond to scheduler's call, can they call me at 0201 to fly me at 0700? Tia.
