And he bought dinner right? Tell me he bought the beer and dinner!!!
Okay, to the guys who have flown both the GS system and 1.5x pay above 80 or 85 or whatever it was, what would you prefer in C2012? Pro's and con's preferred. If it descends into a DAL vs NWA thing then I will exercise the nuclear option and with 80 gone on a trip nobody will be here to stop me from being suspended. Think twice.

More control. If the trip that takes you over 80 is in open time and you are senior enough to get it, you got it. Or, if you fly more hours because of weather or something, the pay is still yours, no scheduling decision necessary.
With the current gs system, scheduling determines when they will give out the extra pay and normally its on the weekend or when the weather is crappy.

I'm senior and i would rather the 1.5 if only to be able to pic up the trip in advance.
We also had designated premium pay trips on the north side outside of the the 1.5 for over 80, but I don't know how they paid because I was out on military leave when that came up. Anyone want to chime in with those details?
Ferd
PS That was also an auto email that you got from EZOpenboard, when a premium trip showed up in open time.
As I recall, the "premium" trips paid 2X also. One of my many merger conspiracy theories.............the "p" that they placed next to the trip number was in green. Hummmmmmmm, you be the judge

alright let me ask this because i dont know, what incentive pay was there for resv pilots under nwa's systems. such as the gs over guarantee and payback systems?
if there wasnt one, would you prefer a hybrid system with 1.5 over 80 and resv gs's?
i'm think of super's situation on this one, 50 hours on gs so 120 hrs of pay and his pb days meant he was off dec 21-28...

Where's the snow??? Sitting in NYC at the long layover hotel with not a flake in sight. The WX channel keeps calling for a Blizzard. Of course, I have a late afternoon flight out of EWR and Mother D is still showing all is GO for a launch. Fun times in the Big Apple..... Good Luck to all.
In all seriousness though, be safe. That stuff gets slick.
Have to agree here. It seems as if the GS system lends iteslf to the senior guys and also those that live in base. 1.5 pay was pretty much across the board and was also somewhat availabel to those who comute. If you go over 80 you get 1.5 pay simple as that. Depends on where you are on the seniority list and where you live.
