Of course ALPA is responsible. Without caving in during BK and good old "constructive engagement" keeping our pay far lower than it should be, there would be less profits to share. Some people are sooooo ungrateful.

You guys are right. I'm out of my league on this one. I apologize. Didn't really know the facts before I shot from the hip. Happy V'Day, Buzz |

You're the one who brought up the subject of who "negotiated" the non-contract employees profit sharing. Now you are avoiding a topic you brought up. I don't know how long you have been around Delta but it doesn't sound like its been that long if you don't know about the unwritten "me too" clause that has existed at Delta for decades.
I can agree with you on your first and last sentences. Denny |

It'll be 10 years in 6 days, Denny. I don't know about the "unwritten me too clause". Explain it to me.

Good point, Carl. We should have used the APA technique. No pay raises AND no profit sharing! Yeah, that's the strategy!

There is a huge spectrum of possibilities between APA's recent dysfunction on one end and LM's management friendly engagement on another.

Rumor alert! Talked to a MEM based pilot and he said the MEM base chief pilot told him that MEM would eventually get 45 MD90s, and I don't know if that meant that many crews, or trips etc. Maybe the bus and 9 categories will eventually leave MEM and MD90s will takeover? That plane might be able to hit both coasts from there, like MSP. He did specifically say "45 MD90s.". Take that for what it's worth, a rumor.
