Well played, Carl! Exactly the point I was going to make. Except you made it better.

Good point, Carl. We should have used the APA technique. No pay raises AND no profit sharing! Yeah, that's the strategy!

Scambo & Johnso

You guys are right. I'm out of my league on this one. I apologize. Didn't really know the facts before I shot from the hip.

Happy V'Day,

Buzz

I can agree with you on your first and last sentences.

It'll be 10 years in 6 days, Denny. I don't know about the "unwritten me too clause". Explain it to me.

Negotiating 101, "if we give you 3%, then we have to give it to everyone. We can't afford that, so 1% is good, right?" Hell, it works on my kids.

There is a huge spectrum of possibilities between APA's recent dysfunction on one end and LM's management friendly engagement on the other.

Please teach your pony a new trick.

Rumor alert! Talked to a MEM based pilot and he said the MEM base chief pilot told him that MEM would eventually get 45 MD90s, and I don't know if that meant that many crews, or trips etc. Maybe the bus and 9 categories will eventually leave MEM and MD90s will takeover? That plane might be able to hit both coasts from there, like MSP. He did specifically say "45 MD90s.". Take that for what it's worth, a rumor.

I wonder what, if anything they will back fill NB flying in DTW with when they park the DC9's?
